At dusk, we will make smores over a campfire and put on a campfire program. All scouts (and siblings) are invited to campout on the field after the campfire program with their adult partners who have completed all mandatory volunteer requirements. If you are camping out, I recommend you finish setting up tents before 6pm. The restrooms in the Parish Hall will be available for our use before bedtime and will be kept open for any overnight emergencies.
-It will be dark on the field so make sure you and your scout are equipped with a flashlight, headlamp, lantern or other illuminating device.
-Be prepared for the nighttime temperature drop and dress appropriately!
-Bring something to sit on (e.g. camping chairs or blankets).
***Registration by September 21st is required to participate whether you plan to leave at the end of the evening or sleep overnight on the field.***

October Pack Meeting
Our pack meeting will be on October TBD at 7:00PM. Please arrive on time as we will start on time. At this pack meeting, we will have a uniform inspection.
Be sure to check with your den leader to ensure that your scout has the correct uniform.
Please make sure your scout has a snack before our pack meeting, the potluck might be too long of a wait for our younger scouts.
Our pack activity this month will be pumpkin carving! Scouts and their families will be given about 30 minutes to carve and decorate their pumpkin. We will then light them up for our pack 165 scouts to see in the moonlight.
Please bring:
1. A hollowed out pumpkin ready to decorate and the necessary tools for your carving / decorating.
2. Pumpkin Carving Kits similar to the one pictured here.
They actually work very nicely and they are much safer than kitchen knives. They can be purchased for a couple of dollars at most stores that carry Halloween supplies. The tools do break relatively easy though, so you may want to bring spare tools.
3. Picnic blanket
4. If you are able to bring an extra pumpkin- please do so. I would like every scout to be able to participate with their family.
Just a friendly reminder that guardians need to stay at all cub scout meetings and events. If guardians are not able to stay with their scout, please plan on joining us next time when you are able to be with your scout. This is for all of our scouts safety and to ensure that our program continues to run smoothly and safely. Thank you for your support on this.
